The price of Super petrol has fallen by KSh4.76 to KSh108.05 whereas that of diesel has dropped by KSh1.08 to KSh101.96. On the other hand, kerosene prices have increased by KSh 0.44 to KSh101.08.
According to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA, the revised pump prices take into account the rate of inflation as of July 2019.
The changes in this month’s pump prices reflect a drop in the average landed cost from $497.36 per cubic metre in August to $459.27 in September.
Concurrently, the average landed cost of diesel dropped by 2.32% to $491.94 in September. However, Kerosene showed a different behaviour, increasing by 0.47% in September from $484.29 per cubic metre.

In Nairobi, a litre of petrol will go for KSh108.05 whereas a litre of diesel goes for KSh101.96. Mombasa will have friendlier prices with a litre of petrol going for KSh105.44 whereas a litre of diesel will sell at 99.35.
Kisumu and Eldoret will bear the brunt end of the stick, purchasing petrol at KSh 109.56 and a litre of diesel at KSh 103.66.
Moyale has the highest prices whereas Mombasa has the lowest prices. Maximum pump price in Moyale will be KSh 120.91 for petrol and 114.82 for diesel.
The pump prices are inclusive of VAT in compliance with the Finance Act of 2018.
