Pesalink Appoints Jack Ngare, 3 Others to their Board

Integrated Payments Service Limited (IPSL), the company behind Pesalink has appointed four new non-executive directors to join its board.

The new directors who joined the board on 1 July 2020 are; Jack Ngare, Dr Shiko Gitau, Kevin Kinyanjui, and Moses Obonyo. They bring a wealth of experience in technology, IT strategy and law to the board of Pesalink.

Jack Ngare has over 15 years of experience in business and is currently the managing director of Microsoft’s Africa Development Center. He has worked in telecommunication, financial services, information security, and emerging technology.

Previously, he held leadership positions in Equity’s Finserve, NIC and Stanbic. He holds two Masters degrees from Harvard; one in Advanced Computer Science and another in Management. Jack is also a non-executive director at Credit Bank PLC. 

Dr Shikoh Gitau is the CEO of Qhala, leading a team of innovators to drive digital transformation in organizations in the continent. She brings over ten years of experience in research and design of digital technologies.

She is a member of the COVID-19 Advisory and the Data Analytics Modelling committee which advises the Kenyan government on tech and data-based solutions. She previously served as the Head of Product at Safaricom Alpha and as Mobile Money Specialist at the AfDB. Dr Shikoh also worked at Google and Microsoft. She holds a Masters and Doctorate in computer science from the University of Cape Town.

Kevin Kinyanjui is the founder and CEO of Duo Tech, a firm that offers IT strategy consultancy for organizations. He is also the Co-founder and Director of WTec which provides cybersecurity and digital forensics services in the continent.

Kevin brings over 34 years experience in information technology to Pesalink, previously holding director positions in Kenya Airways and Housing Finance. He led Lafarge East Africa’s end-user computing as the Group IS Manager and CIO.

Moses Obonyo is the current chairman of Old Mutual Assurance Company and a senior partner at Buyuka Obonyo with over 30 years of practice. Apart from his experience in law, he is well versed in matters finance. He is a non-executive director at Ghana Reinsurance Kenya Limited, Institute of Directors, and Metropol TV. He holds a masters in Law from Strathmore and an executive MBA from USIU and Columbia University.
