Packaging Solutions Company SKL Group to List on the NSE

Shri Krishana Overseas (SKL Group), a packaging solutions and shoe manufacturing company, has announced its intention to list by introduction on the Nairobi Securities Exchange’s (NSE) Growth Enterprise Market Segment.

  • •SKL Group was founded in Nairobi in 2009 by Nirmal Chaudhry and Dr. Sonvir Singh.
  • •The planned listing marks the first packaging solutions company listed on the NSE and the bourse’s first offering since 2020.
  • •The transaction advisers in the listing are Synesis Capital as the lead transaction advisor, and MWC Legal as the legal advisors.

“Listing on the NSE’s SME Market Segment is a strategic decision that will provide Shri Krishana Overseas with access to the capital markets, enabling us to raise funds and accelerate our expansion plans in the near future,” Dr. Sonvir, who is the company’s managing director, said in a statement.

With the growing diverse demand from the manufacturing, floriculture, and agriculture sectors, investors will now easily participate in the promising sector.

The viable packaging industry, which was valued at  approximately $585 million as of the end of 2021, is shifting towards eco-friendly materials, convenient designs, and smart technologies.

SKL Group’s listing prospectus is expected in the next 2-3 weeks, according to sources with knowledge of the company’s plans. Some of the other companies listed on the SME segment are Homeboyz Entertainment, Home Africa, Flame Tree, and Nairobi Business Ventures.
