Oracle Corporation has unveiled its latest cloud-led digital solutions which include; an Oracle autonomous database, AI embedded business applications and the generation 2 cloud infrastructure.
It unveiled the solutions to top business and government leaders at the International Modern Business event in Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, David Bunei, Managing Director of Oracle Kenya, said the digital transformation was a key priority for Kenyan organizations.
“Digital transformation is a key priority for Kenya’s public and private sector entities. This is because organisations are looking to deliver transparent citizen services and drive business growth with high ROI. They are also introducing new products in addition to delivering exceptional customer experience in a highly mobile and digital economy of the future”, said David.
Oracle also announced its plans to launch 20 new Oracle Cloud regions by the end of 2020. This will bring the total number of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure regions to 36.
South Africa will host the facility in Africa. Other regions include US, Canada, Brazil, UK., EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and new government regions in the UK and Israel.
Oracle Corporation has also recently unveiled the world’s first Autonomous Operating System; AI Voice for the enterprise and the world’s fastest database machine.
The Oracle Cloud offers a complete suite of integrated applications for Sales, Service, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, plus Highly Automated and Secure Generation 2 Infrastructure featuring the Oracle Autonomous Database.
In addition, Oracle Cloud has so far opened 12 regions in the past year. It currently operates 16 regions globally – 11 commercial and 5 for government institutions.
