Online betting companies spend big on the Premier League

The Premier Leagueis the strongest football competition in the world and a magnet for the best players and managers. Not surprisingly, it is also the richest domestic league, with huge amounts being spent by investors and sponsors. English teams are making deep runs in prominent European competitions, such as the Champions League and Europa League. This makes them visible to a broad audience and online betting companies are happy to sponsor them, for a chance to have their names displayed on the shirts.

Top Betting Sponsors in the Premier League

Betway is one of the leading gambling operators, with a diversified portfolio of sports, casino games and poker. It is also the main sponsor of West Ham United after signing a three-year sponsorship deal worth a massive £20 million. While the sheer amount stands out from the crowd, this is not the only sponsorship agreement of extraordinary magnitude in the Premier League. Bet365 is the oldest and arguably the most important sponsor of Stoke City, a team that has relegated and now plays in the Championship. Its Stadium is called Bet365 Stadium arena and awaits the day the club returns to the first division.

Dafabet have started their Premier League adventure with the Sunderland sponsorship deal in 2015, but unfortunately the club relegated the next year. The betting company now sponsors Fulham, a team that promoted from the Championship, but it will return to the lower division at the end of the season. TLCBet’s deal with West Bromwich Albion also continued after the team relegated, while Watford had better luck with 138 Bet. The team is going strong in the EPL and earns a seven digit figure from the Asian facing bookmaker, while consistently finishing in the first half of the standings.

Betting Companies Sponsor Half of the Premier League Teams

The number of online betting companies like playuk.com sponsoring English football clubs has increased in recent years, with the EPL and the Championship enjoying the same attention. In addition to the aforesaid bookmakers and online casinos, several other Premier League teams have chosen a betting partner. Mansion88 have placed their faith in Bournemouth, a team that has successfully avoided relegation. ManBetX were just as successful with Crystal Palace and the Londoners have also benefited from this partnership. Newcastle United are also expected to display the Fun88 in the Premier League, for at least one more year. Everton is only the second most successful football club in Liverpool, but attractive enough as to warrant the attention paid by SportPesa. Huddersfield are currently struggling at the bottom of the Premier League and next year, their sponsorship deal with OPE will continue in the Championship. Wolverhampton have returned into the spotlight of the main English division and they will continue to shine at the highest level, with W88 as sponsor. For the time being, the top six teams continue remain beyond the grasp of online betting companies, as they are sponsored by major banks, airlines and international corporations.
