Turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was up significantly by 109% to KSh 908.81 Million this Friday, 20th November 2020.
This level is compared to a turnover of KSh 435.40 the previous day.
All indices were up with the benchmark NSE All-Share Index gaining 1.34 points to close the day at 143.72. The NSE 20 Share Index was up 1.48 points to 1785.88 from 1784.40. The NSE 25 Share Index climbed 14.71 points to 3255.68 from the previous 3240.87 this Thursday.
The biggest movers of the day were led by Safaricom which transacted a volume of 19.62 Million, Equity Group( 3.35 Million), Centum Investments (3.05 Million), Stanbic Holdings (651,500) and Kenya Reinsurance (449,700).
The top price gainer was BOC which was 10% to KSh 66.00, East African Cables which was 9.38% to KSh 1.40, Home Afrika which was up 8.11% to KSh 0.40, Olympia Capital which was up 5.91% to KSh 2.33 and Housing Finance Company of Kenya which rose 4.975 to KSh 3.17.
The worst-performing stocks were led by East African Portland Cement whose price fell 9.72% to KSh 13.00.
Carbacid Investments declined 5.12% to KSh 8.52, Sanlam Kenya slid 3.33% to KSh 11.60, Absa Kenya shares lost 1.84% to KSh 9.58 and Equity Group share price declined 1.67% to KSh 35.35.
Participants in the secondary bond market posted a turnover of KSh 2.44 Billion in 58 deals against the KSh 1.06 billion transacted in the prior trading session.
