    NSE Turnover Rises by 38.4% to KSh 1.1 Billion

    NSE Turnover Rises by 38.4% to KSh 1.1 Billion

    Nairobi Securities Exchange( NSE) recorded a significant increase in turnover to KSh 1.08 Billion when trading closed on Thursday, 3rd December, 2020.

    This was against a turnover of KSh 780.9 Million when trading ended at the bourse the previous Wednesday, 2nd December, 2020. A total of 33,591,800 shares were traded in 783 deals.

    The biggest movers were Safaricom with a volume of 22.94 Million, followed by Equity( 3.86 Million), KCB( 3.39 Million), Absa Bank( 1.24 Million) and KenGen( 597,100).

    The top price gainers at the NSE were Home Afrika which was up 7.89% to KSh 0.41, Olympia Capital whose share price increased by 7.62% to KSh 2.40, KenGen which was up 7.32% to KSh 4.84, WPP ScanGroup which rose 6.95% to KSh 6.46 and Umeme Limited, which was up 6.715 to KSh 7.00.

    Losers at the NSE were led by Express Kenya, which was down 10% to close at KSh 2.70. Other worst-performing counters were Nairobi Business Ventures, BOC Kenya, Eveready and Flame Tree Group.

    The benchmark NSE All-Share Index gained 0.54 points to close at 146.76. The NSE 20 Share Index gained 17.48 points to close at 1778.46.

    The NSE 25 Share Index gained 16.35 points to close at 3298.63 from 3282.34
