    Market Report; NSE turnover edges to KSh 304.99 Million

    Turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE) increased to KSh 304.99 Million on a volume of 12.92 Million in 940 deals.

    This is compared to a turnover of KSh 198.97 Million on a volume of 8.68 million shares traded in 717 deals when the bourse closed this Monday.

    The top price gainer was Express Kenya whose share price rose 7.19% to KSh 4.50. It was followed by Uchumi whose price rose 7.14% to KSh 0.29. Car& General meeting had its share price appreciate 6.67% to KSh 24.00 while the price of Total edged 3.76% to KSh 23.45.

    Kenya Re, which held its AGM on 9th October, 2020 was its share price gain 3.18% to KSh 2.27.

    The worst-performing stocks were led by Umeme Limited, whose price declined 5.61% to KSh 7.06, Carbacid Investments, Longhorn Publishers, TransCentury and East African Cables whose share price fell 4.03% to KSh 1.43.

    The top mover was Centum Investment which traded a volume of 4.83 Million followed by Safaricom (3.84 Million), KenGen (1.37 Million), Equity Group Plc(1.10 Million) and KCB Group Plc(543,500).

    The NSE 20 Share was down 6.05 points from 1836.54 to 1830.49 while NSE 25 Share Index rose 10.5 points from 3225.86 to 3236.41. The NSE All-Share index was up 0.07 points from 140.07 to 140.14.
