Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) climbed slightly to KSh 280.62 Million this Thursday on a volume of 10.52 million shares that were transacted in 685 deals.
This is compared to a turnover of KSh 250.38 Million on Wednesday when 8.9 million shares were traded in 681 deals.
Flame Tree Group was the top gainer with its price up 6.06% to KSh 1.40 followed by Home Africa which increased 4.76% to KSh 0.44 followed by TransCentury which edged 4.43% to KSh 1.65, Safaricom which gained 1.32% to KSh 30.65 and KPLC which saw its share price rise 1.16% to KSh 1.75.
The worst performing stocks were led by CIC Group which fell 6.33% to KSh 2.07 followed by Carbacid Investments which was down 5.18% to KSh 8.42. Longhorn Publishers declined 3.62% to KSh 4.53, Centum Investments which fell 2.70% to KSh 18.00 and WPP Group which declined 1.18% to KSh 6.70.
The top mover was KCB with 4.33 Million followed by Centum Investments (2.55 Million), Safaricom (1.42 Million), KPLC (656,500) and Equity Group (412,500).
The NSE 25Share index increased 0.36% from 3216.95 to 3205.30 while the NSE 20 Share edged 1809.66 to 1805.26, a drop of 0.24%. The NSE All-Share Index increased by 0.67% from 139.79 to 140.72.
