    NSE Turnover Declines to KSh 356 Million

    NSE Turnover Declines to KSh 356 Million

    The Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in equity turnover to KSh 356.12 million in 965 deals. A total of 14.08 million shares were traded.

    Top mover of the day was Equity Group with a turnover of Ksh 130.55 million in 150 deals. Equity stock was trading between Ksh 29.85 and Ksh 31.00 closing the day with a 4.17% share price depreciation.

    East African Breweries realized a turnover of KSh 92.09 million in 22 deals. EABL was trading at an average price of Ksh 150.00 per share closing with a 1.96% share price depreciation.

    Safaricom moved 2.28 million shares valued at Ksh 62.57 million. Safaricom was trading at an average of Ksh 27.50 per share. Safaricom holds a market capitalization of Ksh 1.10 Trillion.

    Absa realized a turnover of Ksh 32.86 million in 90 deals. Absa stock closed the day with a 4.22% share price depreciation at Ksh 8.62 per share.

    KCB Group was trading at an average of Ksh 32.70. KCB realized a turnover of Ksh 23.5 million in 77 deals.

    Co-operative Bank saw a turnover of Ksh 4.26 million trading between Ksh 10.20 and Ksh 11.30 per share.

    Nation Media Group realized a turnover of Ksh 2.32 million in 46 deals. Nation Media closed at Ksh 9.30 per share.

    Kengen moved 281,300 shares valued at Ksh 1.64 million trading at an average of Ksh 5.84 per share.

    ABSA NewGold ETF closed the day with a 2.38% depreciation to close at Ksh 2,050. ABSA NewGold ETF saw a turnover of Ksh 1.03 million in 1 deal.

    Top gainer of the day was the Stanlib Fahari Income REIT with a 9.93% price appreciation. Other gainers of the day were: Uchumi Supermarkets(6.67%), Kakuzi(5.87%), Umeme(4.24%) and BOC Kenya(3.57%)

    WPP ScanGroup closed the day with a 9.27% share price depreciation to close at Ksh 8.22 per share. Other losers of the day were: Sameer Africa(9.23%), TPS Eastern Africa(9.03%), Liberty Kenya(8.61%) and Crown Berger(8.60%)

    The NSE All Share Index shed off 0.28% to close at 130.21. The NSE 20 share index gained 0.19% to close at 1761.43 while the NSE 25 shed off 0.23% to close at 2983.73
