NSE Turnover Declines 28% to KSh 253 Million

Turnover at NSE Rises 46.7% to KSh716 Million

Monday’s trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange saw 8.54 Million shares traded in 971 deals at a market value of Ksh. 253.25 Million.

Top mover of the day was Safaricom with 3.34 Million shares traded. Other top movers of the day were Equity(1.29 Million), KPLC(867,900), KCB(844,800) and Home Afrika(424,500)

Top gainer of the day was Kenya Airways with an end of day share price appreciation of 9.93% KQ closed the day at Ksh. 2.99. Investors in KQ exchanged 171,300 shares in 25 deals. Flame Tree Group Holdings gained 5.63% closing at Ksh. 1.50. Home Afrika gained 4.88% closing at Ksh. 0.43 per share. Home Afrika stock realized a turnover of Ksh. 182,564 in 9 deals

Sameer Africa Plc gained 3.33% closing at Ksh. 3.41. A total of 22,100 Sameer Africa shares were exchanged in 7 deals. WPP ScanGroup gained 2.48% with 10,100 shares traded. WPP Scangroup closed the day at Ksh. 16.50

TPS Eastern Africa shed 10.00% of its share price value closing the day at Ksh. 14.40. Total Kenya Ltd share price depreciated 9.39% closing at Ksh. 24.60. A total of 11,400 Total shares were traded in 13 deals, a turnover of Ksh. 280,395

Other stocks with share price depreciation were Nairobi Business Ventures(3.23%), Carbacid Investments(2.64%) and I&M Holdings (2.10%)

KPLC saw an end of day share price depreciation of 1.00% closing the day at Ksh. 1.98. A total of 867,900 KPLC shares were traded, with a turnover of Ksh. 1.71 Million. CIC Insurance shed 0.43% closing at Ksh. 2.29 with 68,800 shares traded

The NSE all share Index gained 1.04 points to close at 138.79. The NSE 20 share index gained 13.64 points to close at 1952.26. The NSE 25 share index gained 15.61 points to close at 3246.93
