    NSE turnover declines 25% to KSh 324.02 Million

    NSE turnover declines 25% to KSh 324.02 Million

    Turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE) fell to KSh 324.02 Million when trading closed on Wednesday, 25th November 2020.

    This was on a volume of 12.34 Million in 678 deals. This is compared to a turnover of KSh 432.67 Million on a volume of 15.12 Million in 734 deals when the bourse closed this Tuesday 24th November 2020.

    The biggest mover was Safaricom with 5.31 Million with its share price rising 0.95% from KSh 31.70 to KSh 32.00 in a turnover of KSh 169.85 Million in 107 deals.

    Other top movers were Absa Bank( 2.77 Million), Equity Group(1.23 Million), HFCK( 1.10 Million) and KPLC( 431,800).

    East African Cables was the top price gainer, at 7.69% to KSh 1.40, followed by Flame Tree Group Holdings, which was up 6.87% to KSh 1.40. Bank of Kigali was up 3.70% to KSh 14.00 while the share price of Total Kenya rose 2.46% to KSh 22.95.

    While Eveready East Africa was the top price gainer on Tuesday, it slipped to the 5th position when the bourse closed this Wednesday.

    The worst performers were led by Home Afrika, which was down 9.525 to KSh 0.38. Others were East African Portland Cement which lost 8.33% to KSh 11.00, Sameer Africa which declined 5.79% to KSh 3.09, Absa NewGold ETF which fell 3.04% to KSh 1,915.00 and HFCK which was down 2.91% to KSh 3.00.

    The key NSE 20 Share Index fell 0.34 points to 1790.38 while the NSE 25 Share Index was up 15.69 points to 3268.68.

    The NSE All-Share Index edged up 0.95 to 143.93.


    There were three Safaricom single stock futures valued at KSh 95,340 concluded on the derivatives market.
