    NSE Turnover Reaches KSh 179.04 Million

    Equity turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE) today reached KSh 179.04 Million, on a volume of 6.11 Million shares.

    The top movers were Equity Group (2.97 Million) followed by Safaricom 2.05 Million, Centum 176,300, KCB 138,300 and KenGen 133,800.

    Stanbic Holdings was the top price gainer at the bourse reaching KSh 84.00, an appreciation of 9.09% followed by Umeme Limited 8.02% to KSh 7.00, Uchumi which was up 7.14% to KSh 0.30, TPS Serena which gained 6.67% to KSh 16.00 and HFCK which rose 6.34% to KSh 3.86.

    Olympia Capital Holdings was the biggest loser, dropping 4.67% to KSh 2.04 followed by Carbacids Investment Limited which fell 4.33% to KSh 8.40, Total declined 4.20% to KSh 22.80, Sameer Africa declined 2.57% to KSh 3.41 and Home Afrika dipped by 2.50% to KSh 0.39.
