    NSE records turnover of KSh 220.99 Million

    NSE records turnover of KSh 220.99 Million

    Turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE)reached KSh 220.99m Million today on a volume of 9.13 Million in 924 deals.

    The top mover was Safaricom with a volume of 3.28 Million shares followed by Equity (1.61 Million), Bamburi Cement (970,300), Coop Bank (680,700) and KLPC (637,100).

    The NSE 20 share index was down to 1836.09 from the previous 1842.68 while the NSE 25 Share index edged 13.45 points to 3233.86.

    The top gainer was Olympia Capital Holdings which rose 10% to KSh 2.31 followed by East African Portland, Stanbic Holdings, Umeme Limited and CIC Group which gained 3.48% to trade at KSh 2.38.

    The worst performers were led by Sameer Africa, Eveready, Flame Tree Group, Bank of Kigali and Bamburi Cement whose prices declined 2.77% to KSh 22.85
