    EAAGADS

    EAAGADS announced its half year results for the 6 months ending 30 September 2015. EGAD’s Profit before tax went down by 27.48% to KES 13.614 Million. Total Assets went up by 34.93% to KES 630.711 Million. Revenue went up by 6.48% to KES 44.730 Million compared to the previous half year. EPS went down by 18.9% to KES 0.30 per share.

    The company attributes its profit due to improvement in sales volume however international coffee prices were down during the period under review. The production levels are forecasted to be sustainable in the future.

    Analysis

    EGAD is involved in the growing and selling of coffee, hence, performance is likely to be reflected in accordance with coffee prices, the higher the better.

    NIC BANK Q3 Results

    NICE Bank released its Q3 2015 results. Profit before tax was up by 8.5% to KES 5.143 Billion. Total interest income went up 19.7% quarter on quarter to KES 12 Billion. Non-Interest Income went up by 15.6 % this was driven by an increase in FX trading income.

    EPS went from KES 5.58 to 5.61 per share.

    Analysis

    Consensus target price is at KES 54.20 per share. NIC bank looks cheap on a P/E basis.
