The Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tuesday 9th June relaunched its Mobile Application with an aim to boost local investor participation in the stock market.
The initiative dubbed Investing Goes Digital is set to make the process of investing seamless via the revamped mobile application that includes a trading portal to enable investors to access markets. The app will allow investors to access brokers, open accounts remotely and get information on markets as well as track market activity.
The app features market snapshots, stock prices, a gateway to stockbroker platforms as well as financial news in partnership with www.kenyanwallstreet.com.
NSE CEO Geoffrey Odundo said that they are keen on building up the local domestic and local retail investment, pointing out that about 70% of activity at the NSE is of the Foreign Investors. The app will, therefore, increase the level of interactive trading for retail investors.
