NSE Kenya admitted as a member of World Federation of Exchanges

The Nairobi Securities Exchange has finally been admitted as a full member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), the global association that represents market infrastructure providers including exchanges and central counter-party clearing houses.

The admission means that NSE will be working closely with more than 200 exchanges around the world including: Nasdaq, Deutsche Boerse, BSE India Limited, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, CME Group, Dubai Financial Market, South Africa’s JSE among others.

“The WFE’s 18-member Board and 67-member Working Committee held their first meetings of 2018 in Frankfurt, hosted by Deutsche Boerse AG, to discuss and agree the ongoing work of the WFE and its forward agenda. Also at the meeting, the WFE admitted two new members: the Nairobi Securities Exchange and China Securities Depositary and Clearing Corporation.” WEF said in a statement.
