    At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange

    A total of 18,283,800 shares in 947 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 675,046,104.00, were traded.

    Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, March 15), today’s data shows 48% improvement in volume, 47% improvement in turnover, and 7% improvement in deals.

    The current Nairobi Securities Exchange market capitalization is KES 2.45 trillion.

    In the aggregate, 48 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 17✅ gainers and 23? losers.

    Liberty Kenya Holdings led the gainers with 6.64% share price appreciation closing at✅ KES 9.32 per share, followed by

    ✅Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (+6.28%)
    ✅Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] (+4.76%)
    ✅Stanbic Holdings Plc [SBIC] (+4.22%).

    On the losing side, Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 8.57% at KES 3.20 per share, followed by:

    ?Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (-8.39%)
    ?Total Kenya Plc [TOTL] (-7.35%)
    ?Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] (-7.14%).

    Safaricom recorded the highest volume of 8.3 million traded shares, followed by:

    ➖Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] (2.51m)
    ➖KCB Group Plc [KCB] (2.05m)
    ➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (2.02m)

    The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 0.30 points to close at 162.82
    The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 3.68 points to close at 1922.70
    The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 8.28 points to close at 3627.28

    Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

    The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity during today’s trading session, with 43 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 1,495,000 concluded, compared to the 22 SSF contracts valued at Kes 838,100 million concluded on the previous session

    Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded quite a rise during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 3.35 billion transacted in 110 deals as compared to the Kes 1.97 billion worth of bonds achieved in 26 deals in the preceding session.
