Nigerian logistics startup Kobo360 Expands into Kenya

Nigerian logistics start-up Kobo360 has announced plans to expand into Kenya as it seeks to penetrate the East Africa region.

“Kenya is the hub of East Africa, it is the most innovative market in Technology, and if we win here, we have succeeded across the region. From here we will expand to Uganda and Tanzania,” said Co-founder of Kobo360, Ife Oyedele, during the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali.

The firm will partner with International Finance Corporation and TLcom in the expansion drive which seeks to establish a strong global operating logistic operating system that will ensure fast movement of goods at a lower cost for businesses across Africa.

Kobo’s expansion into Africa also comes at a time when the African Union is fronting for the Continental Free Trade Area which is set to create a single market for goods and services.

The firm is also planning to set up another branch in Togo, Ghana as it links to its market in the West Africa region.
