NHIF to Recruit a New CEO as Peter Kamunyo’s Term Ends Next Month

The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to recruit a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as Peter Kamunyo’s term ends next month.

In a statement, Kamau conveyed that the National Health Insurance Fund Board would like to notify the public that the current Chief Executive Officer of NHIF, Dr Peter Kamunyo, will have his employment contract expire on the 14th of April 2023.

In light aware of the major reforms underway at the Fund as part of Kenya Kwanza’s transformative agenda, the Board has decided to open up the position of Chief Executive Officer for a competitive recruitment exercise.

After three years in charge, Kamunyo is poised to depart from the Fund. In 2020, the medical practitioner took over from Nicodemus Odongo, who was temporarily serving as head.
