NCBA bank has announced plans to temporarily close eight of its branches in Kenya in a bid to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The closure is with effect from today, 1st April 2020, until further notice.
“Your health and safety is our number one priority and due to this, we have decided to temporarily close eight of our branches. Please continue to enjoy our ATM, mobile and internet banking services,” reads a statement from Seema Dhanani DeSouza, Deputy Director, Group Customer Experience.
The branches in context are Nairobi (Galleria, Junction, TRM, Hilton), Mombasa (Changamwe), Eldoret (Zion), Machakos (Mbolu Malu), and Meru (Union Square).
Early last year, NIC Bank merged with CBA to form NCBA Bank (a part of NCBAGroup), which is already licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya. The group has subsidiary companies in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and the Ivory Coast.
