    Multichoice Kenya Names Nancy Matimu as the First Female CEO

    Multichoice Kenya has named Nancy Matimu as the New Managing Director after the exit of Eric Odipo. The former Mastercard VP, Head of Market Development in Sub-Saharan Africa took the office on December 16. Nancy is looking to strengthen content on DStv and GOtv. Matimu’s appointment comes at a time where Multichoice is looking to cement its dominance in Kenya.

    “Our strategy is to continuously provide customers with more of their favourite content and thus providing unmatched value. This new appointment will play a major role in delivering the experience our customers deserve, core to our corporate culture. We are also excited to welcome our first female MD to head up our business. Nancy brings a wealth of experience to the role,” said Maharage Chande, Multichoice Nothern Africa Regional Director.

    Nancy has a wealth of experience from driving innovation and product penetration in HF, Safaricom, and Airtel. Multichoice notes her performance in financial services, communication, and the ICT sector, together with her wide education background will help drive customer satisfaction and growth.

    “I am happy to join Kenya’s leading video entertainment company and to be the first female managing director of the business. I am looking forward to leading this business at what is an exciting time for the industry and the Multichoice Group,” said Matimu.
