    Nairobi Securities Exchange Delists Two Companies

    The Nairobi Securities Exchange has announced the mandatory delisting of A. Baumann Limited and Hutchings Biemer Limited for failure to adhere to regulatory requirements in 2008 and 2001 respectively.

    The companies were then suspended from trading on the Exchange and the subsequent approval of the delisting by the Capital Markets Authority.

    About A. Baumann Limited

    A. Baumann Limited is a Kenya-based investment holding company. The Company operates in two operating divisions: Investing division and Trading division. Investing division holds investment properties and other investments. Trading division trades in electrical, agricultural and construction equipment. The Company operates in Kenya and Uganda.

    At the time of suspension from NSE, the company had 381 shareholders with a market cap of Sh 42.6 million.

    Hutchings Biemer

    Hutchings Biemer operates within the retailing sector focusing on home & office furnishing. By the time the company was suspended from the NSE, it had 153 shareholders with a market cap of Sh7.3 million.
