Nairobi County has terminated the contract of JamboPay which has been collecting revenue for the county for more than five years.
City hall accused the company of not collaborating and complying with agreements of the deal by failing to provide the key components including an application known as USSD shortcode and the pay bill account.
The County Government will start collecting revenues using its internal systems called City Revenue Management System which would be set up at a cost of Sh205 million.
Jambopay’s contract had been extended for a month in a bid to smoothen the transition process and continuity of service.
