    MYDAWA Partners with AstraZeneca

Kenya’s pharmaceutical company MYDAWA has partnered with the British biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, one of the companies leading in the development of the covid19 vaccine. The partnership aims to increase access to quality and affordable medical products in Kenya.

MYDAWA is a leading ePharmacy company that offers healthcare products and services to more than 80,000 registered users in Kenya.

“We are really excited about this partnership with @AstraZeneca. It will go a long way in helping ensure that all Kenyans can access quality healthcare services and products wherever they are in the country,” MYDAWA tweeted.

Patients in Kenya will now have easy access to AstraZeneca’s innovative products through the MYDAWA app. Deliveries will be done by fully qualified and licensed Pharmaceutical Technologists (Pharmtec) able to provide advice on the administration of AstraZeneca medication.

Additionally, the clients will be able to consult an online pharmacist for more in-depth medical consultations.

MYDAWA Managing Director Tony Wood said that the deal with AstraZeneca will improve the quality of life for patients managing chronic illnesses. Furthermore, the patient education offered through MYDAWA app will enable the clients to handle their medical conditions well.
