Safaricom has announced that it will undertake scheduled maintenance on its mobile wallet Mpesa. The planned maintenance will take place on Thursday 18 June between 0000hrs and O500hrs.
In this regard, Safaricom customers will not be able to access Mpesa services such as airtime purchase, sending money, and pay bills services.
Mpesa has for more than 13 years enabled Kenyans to send funds, access credit, and pay for utilities through the platform. In March, Safaricom waived the transaction fee for person to person money transfers below KSh1000.
The Telco has also revealed that customers donated 1 Billion Bonga Points worth approximately KSh 330 million in the past two months under the Bonga For Good initiative.
