Mövenpick Hotel & Residences has launched its fifth “Kilo of Kindness” campaign to help disadvantaged communities around the world. The campaign calls guests and visitors to support the underprivileged.
This year’s edition invites guests and people to contribute one kilo of food, clothing or educational supplies. The contributions will be in honor of UN’s International Day of Charity on September 5th.
Guests can make donations at the hotel between 1-15 September which will later reach underprivileged members of the community.
In Kenya, Mövenpick will distribute high priority supplies such as books, and rulers as well as canned foods to Angels of Hope in Kibera. The hotel also welcomes visitors to share adults’ and children’s clothing which will go to the community-based organization. Angels of Hope has been supporting orphans, and vulnerable children eliminate hunger, homelessness, and drive literacy since 2010.
Speaking of the program, Mövenpick’s Brand Management Vice President explained how the program is an important way of putting the hotels’ values into action.

“This corporate social responsibility initiative is at the heart of the Mövenpick brand and reflects our values and commitment to the local communities in which we operate. We are encouraging all guests to join us this September to support a ‘Kilo of Kindness’. Together we can collectively make a difference in the lives of many.” added Nick Bosworth.
Last year, visitors and guests in participating hotels collected up to 12,700 kilograms of supplies. The hotel invites the community to help donate more “kilos of Kindness” to make this year’s program more successful.
