Nairobi’s former governor Mike Sonko has been selected by President Donald Trump to lead the White House’s interior design team and help turn the US president's official residence into the more inclusive “Gold House.”

- •The popular, former Governor is renowned in Nairobi and across the continent for his unique style – all gold everything.
- •Sonko is set to build a replica of his opulent Mua Hills mansion in a suburb outside Washington DC to oversee the project.
In a statement, Pres. Donald Trump could have said, “America First means that we should have the most luxurious things – biggest houses, fastest planes, nicest offices, and sexiest cars. Since we can’t compete with Gov. Mike Sonko’s illustrious style, I’ve decided to partner with him and let his beautiful mind to make our boring White House into a palace fit for [a king].”
Sonko’s distinct interior design style is celebrated and even emulated by Pres. Donald Trump as seen in several magazine and news specials where Trump has repeatedly thanked Gov. Sonko, Trinidad James, and even Muammar Gaddafi for inspiration.
Responding to news of the appointment, Sonko is reported to have said,"Naenda kunyorosha hiyo nyumba luku moja safi had mtatii!"
Beyond leading a team of interior designers, Gov. Sonko will also be tasked with planning the upcoming UFC fight set to take place on the White House lawn in addition to collaborating with Lockheed Martin on creation of a golden F-16 fighter jet meant to honor the United States’ 250th anniversary.
Upon investigating the story further, an (entirely unreliable) anonymous source told The Kenyan Wall Street, “even Trump’s $12.1M USD gold toilet was bought in the early 2000’s from Sonko.”
