MasterCard Women SME Leaders Awards 2022 has named two Kenyans for their achievements.
Carole Kinoti, a social fashion entrepreneur, was named The Retailer, alongside Sheila Mallowah the Principal Consultant and Founder of the wealth management firm Zoel Capital, who was named The Executive.
Sheila’s experience spans 12 years in the financial services sector. She began her career at Gen Africa Asset Managers and later joined Britam Asset Managers where she managed distribution planning for institutions, high net worth individuals and their families before joining Nabo Capital as Private Wealth Manager. She later established her own Wealth Management and Investment Advisory Firm, Zoel Capital Limited.
She holds an MBA in Marketing from Daystar University and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting) from Strathmore University.
Carole Kinoti is a creative in the fashion industry with over 19 years’ experience. Her passion and creativity has led her to develop not only a high end known brand but also a series of initiatives in a bid to transform the Kenyan fashion industry into a more accessible, sustainable and ethical industry.
She seeks to bring transformation in the fashion industry by paving the way for creatives to scale their businesses.
She is a humanitarian who aims to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable through the power of partnerships.
She is the founder of Carole Kinoti Brands, Fashion on The Road (FoTR Kenya) and The Mavazi Elevate Program (MEP) and the Chairperson of People on the Move.
Mastercard announced the winners of the first Mastercard Women SME Leaders Awards 2022 at a recent virtual ceremony, recognizing the success of women-led businesses in 22 categories and multiple industry sectors across the Middle East and Africa.
The awards were developed by Mastercard in partnership with Entrepreneur Middle East to recognize and further empower women-owned and run SMEs across the Middle East and Africa.
