    The benchmark NSE-20 Share Index was down 62.68 points to close at 3,940.42 points. The All Share Index (NASI) was down by 1.50 points to close at 145.24 points. Turnover increased in today’s session to KES 1.584Bn compared to KES 341Mn on Thursday. 1,299 deals were executed. A total of 44,471,200 shares were traded.

    Commentary

    We have noticed that the Commercial & Services Sector is one of the worst performing sectors with counters on that sector consistently appearing on the losing side since 2015, Uchumi has had a rally in December but has reverted towards the mean since then. The chart below demonstrates this scenario with Atlas overlaid with all other companies in the Commercial & Services sector.
