Margaret Nyakang’o has been sworn in as the Controller of Budget for an 8-year tenure.
Parliament’s Finance and National Planning committee said that Dr Nyakang’o was well-suited for the job.
Moreover, she was vetted by the National Assembly and the members approved her appointment on Tuesday.

Dr Nyakang’o’s will oversee the withdrawal of funds from the public kitty. In addition, she will oversee the management of counties expenditure.
Top of her agenda will involve investigating 15 counties that have delayed payments to suppliers prompting the National assembly to withhold funds.
