Standard Investment Bank's Mansa-X Special Funds have surpassed US$ 1 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM).
- •The fund employs a multi-asset strategy that includes global currencies, commodities, and stock indices.
- •Named for the ancient, wealthy Malian leader Mansa Musa, the fund is the largest special Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) in Kenya.
- •The surge in AUM follows a year of record-high returns for the fund’s various portfolios in 2025.
“Surpassing the US$ 1 billion mark reflects the trust investors have placed in our strategy,” said Nahashon Mungai, Executive Director for Global Markets at SIB.
The bank noted that providing both local and foreign currency options has been a key driver in attracting a broader base of regional and international investors seeking to hedge against currency fluctuations.
