Longhorn publishers appointed Mr Michael Mwaura as the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, with effect from 1st January 2020.
Mr Mwaura previously worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, where he was responsible of both internal and external audits, as well as compliance related projects.
Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science, aside from being a Certified Public Accountant.
The NSE listed company publishes and distributes academic and non-academic books throughout the East African region. The firm is partly owned by Centum Investments.
Longhorn has subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. It also has strategic partnerships in Ethiopia, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Malawi and Zambia.
