Little, a technology firm based in Westlands-Nairobi, has reworked its App to include features that address fast-changing technological needs in the Kenyan market.
Kamal Budhabhatti, Little Chief Executive Officer, said most firms are now looking for a one-stop-shop for different services to save time and reduce the paperwork. He made these remarks in Nairobi this Tuesday while launching the new features.
Users of the App will now be able to access cutting-edge services in such areas as the e-wallet, transport, and leisure.
Budhabhatti said experiences from the pandemic had forced firms to turn to technology to serve their clients.
Little had positioned itself to use its technological prowess to provide a one-stop platform that can be used to access different services.
He said Little App had shifted from just offering ride-hailing services to addressing different needs of companies. The added features were providing a competitive edge to its over 1,200 customers and all new users of the App.
Little was established six years ago as a firm that connects users to taxi services. But it has now evolved to one that provides a vast portfolio of services to different customers.
Little Cab has since migrated to Little App, an electronic platform that allows users to access transport services, delivery services, leisure, and e-wallet.
Chris Senanu, Safaricom Chief Business Officer, has commended Little App as signs of bigger things to happen in the future.
He said the ecosystem and partnerships that Little App has created are among the best lessons in entrepreneurship.
Little has moved from the retail front to provide a wide range of services such as shuttle, utility services and a staff biometric system.
Companies can use the App as a courier to deliver parcels that weigh as low as one kilogram to products that weigh a tonne.
Companies can send goods outside of Nairobi while still offering to do postpaid.
Little shuttle services offer several capacities from 7, 33, 52 to the 61 seaters, catering for all companies regardless of their staff numbers and providing the top range luxuries of Range Rovers, Landcruiser and Outlanders.
Little was launched on 5th July 2016 as a company that only offered a platform for users to connect with taxi services. It has grown to a nifty app serving over 1200 plus corporate services.
The Company has a presence in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Somalia.
Little App enables users to pay power bills, purchase airtime, pay water bills, cable TV, etc.
Users of the App may enjoy the above services at an interest rate of less than 1 per cent as their bills consolidated to one.
Little’s biometric system allows employees to scan their attendance whilst coming into the office and leaving.
The staff attendance feature allows employees to track their logging in and out for various activities, such as meetings.
