Mr. Linus Gitahi will now serve as DTB’s Chairman after he was appointed during the company’s AGM on 23rd May. He takes over from Mr. Abdul Samji, who has retired from the position. Linus has served in the bank’s board as a non-executive director since April 2017.
Mr. Gitahi also serves as chairman at ARM Cement Company, Brand Kenya, Tropical Brands, Oxygene Marketing communications, and Msingi foundation.
He has extensive experience in the corporate world, where he has worked for more than three decades. Linus is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Nairobi and an MBA holder from USIU.
He worked as Product Manager Trainee at Glaxo SmithKline and went up to the rank of Group Chief Executive at GSK West Africa. He also served as the CEO at Nation Media Group for nine years from 2006 to 2015.
