African focused law firm Bowmans has announced plans to expand into Mauritius and Ethiopia in a bid to explore more opportunities for its clients and contacts across the continent. The expansion plan will be effective from 1st October 2019.
According to Bowman’s chairman and senior partner, Robert legh, Mauritius and Ethiopia are a key jurisdiction for many of their clients and thus expanding and having a presence on the ground there will be a better way to support them.
Bowmans will also be joining forces with Firmwise a Mauritius local firm that specialises with Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Commercial law, Investment funds, Banking and finance and tax compliance. This development will benefit the clients as Mauritius is fast becoming an international financial centre and has favourable laws for foreign investors.
In Ethiopia, Bowmans has formed a formal alliance with Aman Assefa and associate law office. The firm specialises in high end corporate and transactional legal matters. As a result of these developments, Bowmans will now be present in Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
