Kenya’s inflation fell to 6.45 percent year-on-year in March from 6.84 percent a month earlier, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said.

The drop was attributed to lower petrol and cooking gas prices.

Food takes up the largest share (36%) of the basket of goods that is used to calculate inflation, followed by utilities. Electricity prices remained unchanged for the second month in a row.
