Four major business outsourcing operators in Kenya have launched the The Outsourcing Alliance of Kenya (OAK), a unified private-sector coalition dedicated to accelerating Kenya’s growth as a global hub for business services.
- •OAK's founder members are CCI Kenya, CloudFactory Kenya, Teleperformance Kenya and Sama Kenya with Genesis Analytics as executive secretariat.
- •The alliance is aiming to have 20+ paid members by Q2 2026, to co-create a roadmap to 100,000 jobs, and to securing specific government policy reforms.
- •Among the alliance's proposals for Kenya's investment landscape include the extension of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) benefits to any qualifying BPO company that creates over 300 jobs,
irrespective of its physical location, and a standardised transfer pricing rate for the sector to eliminate tax uncertainty.
“The alliance aims to stimulate job creation and global investment,” says Jonathan Beardsley, Head of Digital Livelihoods at Genesis Analytics. “We are aligning global demand with Kenya’s digital skills programmes to create careers for youth.”
OAK plans to organise an East Africa GBS Summit to attract global operators, to launch an AI Skills Observatory, and to actively participate in shaping the National BPO Policy.
