Kenyan Vehicle Manufacturers Asked to Produce Affordable Cars

President Uhuru Kenyatta has challenged the local motor vehicle assemblers to explore various means of producing quality affordable cars in order to boost the vehicle industry in the Kenya.

He said this at State House during a meeting with members of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers, whose main agenda was discussion on the National Automotive Policy which is meant to promote the sector.

“I urged local motor vehicle assemblers to innovate ways of producing quality vehicles that are affordable for Kenyans,” said President Kenyatta.

I am keen to see the country’s vehicle assembly industry back on track in support of the manufacturing pillar of our #Big4Agenda. If well harnessed motor vehicle assembly has the potential to create thousands of jobs for our youth. pic.twitter.com/CieWCOpIbJ
