President Uhuru Kenyatta has challenged the local motor vehicle assemblers to explore various means of producing quality affordable cars in order to boost the vehicle industry in the Kenya.
He said this at State House during a meeting with members of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers, whose main agenda was discussion on the National Automotive Policy which is meant to promote the sector.
“I urged local motor vehicle assemblers to innovate ways of producing quality vehicles that are affordable for Kenyans,” said President Kenyatta.

On their part, the manufacturers proposed the establishment of an effective institutional mechanism to provide focused attention to the industry.
