Kenya immigration services office is urging tourists planning to visit the country to apply for visas online.
“Online Visa application is highly encouraged, especially at this period of COVID-19 Pandemic,” says director-general for Immigration services Alexander Muteshi.
Foreign nationals can also access foreigner certificates, and online work permits through the Immigration department’s website.
Kenya released in the initial list of source countries that can fly to Kenya, given their limited Covid19 community transmission. Flights from the UK, France, Netherlands, Qatar, Italy, UAE, South Korea, China, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Rwanda, Namibia, Morocco, Uganda, and Ethiopia will now be able to fly in the country.
However, Transport CS James Macharia says that passengers landing in the country will have to show a PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate and show no symptoms of COVID-19. He also urged passengers flying out of the country to comply with the COVID-19 related travel health requirements of their destination countries.
