Kenya and Rwanda have officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate and strengthen their relations.
This agreement aims to promote cooperation and mutual benefit between the two countries. The agreement will also accelerate and strengthen relations in diplomatic training, agriculture and health.
Other sectors covered in the agreement include education, correctional services and youth affairs.
In addition, the signing and ratification of the One Area Network will ease communications and trade between our two countries.
We urge other East African Community (EAC) member states to embrace this innovative idea to boost communication and trade in the region.

President Ruto also urged Rwanda to utilize the more efficient Port of Mombasa, while highlighting that the facility has been expanded and modernized to handle increased cargo.
Additionally, he mentioned that the Port offers the option for cargo owners to collect goods at the Naivasha Inland Container Depot, which can save both time and cost, thereby enhancing trade between the two countries.
President Ruto emphasized Kenya’s commitment to collaborating with Rwanda in advancing peace and security, trade and investment, as well as implementing Agenda 2063.
