    Kenya Roads Board seeks advisors for KSh 150 Billion financing

    The Kenya Roads Board is seeking for Transaction Advisers and Lead arrangers for KSh 150 Billion financing.

    In a tender notice, the Roads Board, a state corporation under the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works, has invited qualified firms to perform the role of Transaction Advisor and Lead Arranger.

    A pre-proposal conference shall be held on January 7th, 2020 at the Kenya Roads Board Head Offices at Kenya Re Towers in Upper Hill, Nairobi.

    The detailed Request for Proposals (RFP document can be viewed and downloaded from the board’s website.

    Proposals must be submitted not later than 16th January, 2020. Technical proposals will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of firms’ representatives who choose to attend the boardroom meeting.

    Kenya Roads Board fund oversees and coordinates road maintenance, rehabilitation and development through optimal utilization of resources for a sustainable Road Network.

    The County Allocation of Revenue Act 2018 and the Public Finance Management Act 2012, mandate the Kenya Roads Board to release the road maintenance levy funds to counties every financial year as conditional grants.

    Figures indicate that Nairobi County has received Sh 415.8 Million as roads maintenance levy from the Kenya Roads Board for the 2019/20 financial year.
