Two NSE listed firms; Kenya Power & Lighting Company and Mumias Sugar have announced that publication of their financial results for the period ended 30th June will be delayed and will be published by 30th November 2018.
“The delay is mainly attributed to recent changes in the Company’s senior management which has affected the preparation and finalisation of the annual financial statements of accounts.” KPLC said in a statement.
On the other hand, Mumias said the delay had been caused by operational matters due to the financial challenges facing the company.
“We wish to assure our shareholders that all relevant reporting & publishing extension permission has been formally been sought from the Capital Markets Authority(CMA) and we have been granted a a 1 month’s reporting deadline extension to 30th November 2018….” Mumias noted.
