Kenya Power & KenGen say that they will delay publishing their financial results for the year ended 30th June 2020. The two listed firms were expected to release their full year audited results by 31st October.
The energy companies blame the late release of financial records on the delay in the appointment of the Auditor General. Kengen says it needs more time “to allow the Office of the Auditor-General to complete the Annual Audit for the year ended 30th June 2020.”
The electricity generating company has also posted its Annual General Meeting for the year ended 30th June 2020 to a date to be communicated in due course. It’s 67th AGM for the year ended 30th June 2019 will be held on 3rd November 2020.
Kengen will publish the full year results on or before 15th December 2020 while Kenya Power will publish the records on or before 31st January 2021.
