Proparco, a subsidiary of the French Development Agency, has disbursed a multi-million dollar debt financing to Kenya Nuts Company. The deal is the first disbursement in a two-phased financing plan in which I&M Burbidge Capital is the adviser.
Kenya Nuts Company is East Africa’s largest nut processing firm and one the world’s largest exporter of cashew and macadamia nuts. It is known for brands like; Out of Africa, Nutfields, Morendat, and Leleshwa.
Proparco provides funding and support to businesses across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. The company promotes sustainable economic, social and environmental development. It has been operating in East Africa for more than 40 years where it has funded; Lynk, KTDA, the Lake Turkana Wind Farm project among others.
