President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that Kenya and Singapore are establishing the viability of direct flights between the two countries.
The president made the announcement when delivering a keynote speech at the Singapore Summit 2019 on Kenya’s role in promoting a closer partnership between Africa and Asia.
Direct flights would strengthen the bilateral ties between Singapore and Kenya.
In addition, cultural exchanges, capacity building, information sharing, and acceleration of merger or collaboration arrangements between Asian companies and Kenyan companies would create avenues of productivity and commerce.
Furthermore, both countries can collaborate in building and broadening of transport, communication, energy, ICT, and housing infrastructure.
In addition to its strategic location position in Africa, Kenya has a skilled labour force, vibrant service industry, and ICT sector making it appealing to Singapore’s business community.
