Themed, finding opportunities in uncertainty the annual celebrations of the achievement of Kenya’s investments sector of the economy are here yet again, to recognize those players who continue to innovate to stay ahead even during uncertainties.
The event is organized annually by Think Business Magazine, with the support of the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Retirement Benefits Authority and Kenya Association of Stockbrokers & Investment Banks.
Entries submission in various categories is currently on going and will culminate in the unveiling of the winners at a dinner gala to be held on the Friday 17th November 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi.
The awards strategic objective is to recognize and reward outstanding performance of companies as reflected in their audited financial statements. The evaluation process also seeks to shine a spotlight on companies that have greatly contributed to the growth of the sector through technological innovations, adoption of good corporate governance, social impact and sustainability, investing in stakeholder education and great client customer service.
This year’s awards will evaluate performance in 4sub- industry s categories namely Capital Markets category, Pension Schemes category, Collective Investment Schemes Category and finally the Fund Managers/Investment Managers.
PKF East Africa, the Judging process partner, will oversee and audit the entire judging process including the selection of judges, verification of financial data and market information presented as well as the determination of winners based on set criteria.
Speaking at the 2016 awards dinner gala, Dyer and Blair Chairman, Mr. Jimnah Mbaru said in his acceptance speech for the Lifetime achievement awards winning at such an awards competition is not only a reflection of the good work an organization has been putting on in the past year but also acts as an inspiration to new entrants in the industry as to what can be achieved by the sector. Mr. Mbaru was recognized for his long service and immense contribution to the industry since the launch of the NSE many years back.
