    KCB Group Re-Elects Two Directors At its 51st AGM

    KCB Group Plc held its 51st Annual General Meeting(AGM) on 3rd June 2022, where shareholders re-elected Lawrence Njiru and Andrew Kairu (Chairman of the KCB Board). This is after these directors at the AGM retired but offered themselves for re-election after being eligible.

    The KCB Group Plc AGM also accepted the resignation of Ms Georgina Malombe, who did not offer herself for re-election. Shareholders also re-elected Mrs. Alice Kirenge, who had earlier been appointed to the board to fill a casual position.

    KCB Group 51st AGM through virtual means

    The annual general meeting, which was held through electronic means, also confirmed the payment of an interim dividend of KSh 1.00 per ordinary share paid on 5 January 2022.


    Shareholders and approved payment of a first and final dividend of KSh2. 00 per ordinary share, payable, net of withholding tax, on or before 7 July 2022. The approved total dividend payout is worth KSh9.64 billion.

    Shareholders also elected directors Mrs Anne Erikson, Dr Obuya Bagaka and Mrs Alice Kiberenge as members of the Board Audit & Risk Committee.

    PricewaterhouseCoopers, Certified Public Accountants, were re-appointed as the Company’s auditors until the next Annual General Meeting. At the same time, Directors were authorized to fix the remuneration of the Auditors.
