KCB Group has headhunted Rosemary Kimwatu Koech as its Group Data Protection Officer, leaving her position at Safaricom as its public officer manager.
Before that, Ms Koech was Head of Public Policy at Oxygene. She also has been Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at messaging and payments service company.
According to Ms Koech, it is a transition era as she joins a fantastic team at the lender as Data Protection Officer.
Rosemary possesses a law degree from the University of Nairobi and an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations.
Her job at the lender will ensure that the data of an organisation’s staff, providers, individuals and customers comply with the applicable data protection rules.
Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019 demands that data controllers and processors ensure data quality and establish and maintain security safeguards to protect personal data.
