    KCB Banks On Commonwealth Auditor To Chair Its Board

    Kenya Commercial Bank PLC has appointed Commonwealth Audit secretariat member, Andrew Wambari Kairu to chair the company’s board.

    Mr Wambari who has been with the bank since 2016 and has risen from an independent non-executive director of the company to serve as the chair of the lenders risk committee, HR committee and also been a member of the audit committee.

    Mr Wambari’s core competencies include; strategic business planning, profit and loss accountability, risk management performance and change management, process and policy development and stakeholder development.

    ‘’Mr Kairu is an influential and seasoned banker and former chief operating officers with vast and comprehensive international experience in cooperate governance, corporate commercial correspondent an retail banking.’’ The lender said in a statement adding that the bank will be looking to tap into his years of experience in the sector to help move the company forward.

    ‘’He has extensive business and technical experience that is aligned and central to KCB transformation journey into the future,” KCB boss Joshua Oigara added.
